Why people move to NYC?
NYC is America’s most cosmopolitan city and a global economic
powerhouse. It’s a melting pot of different cultures. The city
offers many opportunities to students and professionals. Many good
educational institutions as well as world’s leading companies are
located in the city. As one of the most vibrant cities, NYC attracts
countless people from different parts of the US and also from other
countries.
In the year 2013, the city witnessed a record population growth of
8.3 million! Brooklyn, one of the five boroughs of NYC with a total
area of 71 sq. miles, has seen the highest growth in population in
recent years. While increased life expectancy is one of the major
causes of population growth, the number of people moving to the city
has also increased. The number of foreign immigrants has increased
substantially in recent years. From job opportunities to family
reasons, there are many reasons why people move to NYC.
